Anonymous asked: Hey Mar. Take this from an Eastlake alum. Having Prom in the gym at the school would be the absolute smartest thing to do. Using all this money to go to some place is a fucking waste. Students literally pay 80 something dollars to take a picture and then you have to buy the pictures. Not to mention transportation fees. Prom and homecoming are literally just for the pictures and then people leave. The only thing people care about are the after parties. Just saying.

I appreciate that you took time to give an opinion, but I’m going to have to disagree. I know for sure that my senior class wants a good prom, grad night, and homecoming. Yeah it may cost a lot, but the memories these events leave us with are priceless. I bet you were excited for all of these events when you were a senior. People really want to have a memorable senior year and I don’t want to let them down. Some people are already speaking their mind and that just shows how important these events are to the senior class. Thanks for trying to help though (:

Well as president of our class, I’m going to try and raise money to try and get our class out of it’s financial struggle. I have a connection to make senior shirts and sweaters and hopefully those can be popular. Over break I plan on trying to sell goods, it may not make big profit but you have to take baby steps before you start to run. Prom and grad night help raise money also because the tickets earn our class a lot of money. Expect a lot of events at fast food places near buy. Me and my team are going to try our best to make sure senior year will be awesome. 

On another note, this has gotten annoying. My team has been in office for a week, and we already have people who give us criticism. I know that you may not believe in us, but the other seniors at our school believed in us. We’re going to prove you wrong and show that all the people that voted for us did not make a mistake. So if you don’t mind, I think you should stop making assumptions about our team until you actually have a reason to do so.
